Finding My Inner Foodie!

I consider myself a method writer. Due to the fact that the beginning of my writing process is always getting in the trenches to explore and learn in order to enhance my work. For my second novel, (a sequel to “A DANGEROUS AGE”) “A SECOND COURSE,” shifts narrators. Our new narrator is a fun-loving foodie who works in a slew of restaurants and bars along the path to sculpting her career. This week, I chose to work in a chic downtown restaurant, Cafe Medi, to get a hands on experience and work just as my heroine would! My takeaways are, that cucumber tartare is the ultimate entree, chef coats can be chic, and kitchen floors are slippery. No cute shoes allowed! Also, black body suits while bartending get bigger tips! HA! Check out some fun pics and videos below and let me know what you think! Kkb
