This summer was the best summer of my life. I got to ride with my best friend every weekend, and even had the opportunity to train with Laura Bowery, who was the #1 rider in the United States and #4 in the world. Laura taught me a lot of riding lessons/life lessons. The one I loved the most is, “Don’t try to change what you can’t.” Basically Laura was telling me to ride the horse I have. If he’s bright, calm him. And, if hes lazy tell him what to do once. Laura says I’m a begger. I never directly ask with a firm crop, I beg and get no response. When I spur him to go, he goes. The lesson learned is ask for what you want, and don’t stop until you get it right!
Thank you, Laura Bowery and Applewild Farm for believing in me, and for making my dreams of showing in the Hampton Classic a possibility.
I’m so proud!!! Yeahhh Laura!!! Thank you!!!
