Friday On Franklin

There are so many amazing neighborhoods in NYC that it’s difficult to pick just one as a go-to spot for the best in fashion, design, and art… However, after endless searching and exploring, I have been able to narrow it down to TriBeCa. Believe it or not, I am even able to get more specific than that… Franklin Street in TriBeCa may have claimed the top spot in my book, in terms of assortment and must haves! R & Company, has the chicest menagerie of vintage and modern furniture and objects d’art. My all-time favorite furniture designer, Rogan, is one of their staples. I am also obsessed with David Wiseman‘s nature inspired home decor. For vintage clothing galore, head over to Melet Mercantile where designers like, Ralph Lauren, often draw inspiration from their archives to develop the latest fashions. My personal picks include the plethora of white tees piled to the sky and the cozy flannels which are perfect for fall! For a quick bite, pop into Gabby Karan’s Tutto il Giorno for the best pasta South of 14th Street! To balance out that big pasta dish, skip dessert and instead, opt to indulge in some artistic eye-candy at The New York Academy of Art where young talent is cultivated and celebrated. The ultimate celebration happens at the Academy’s, TriBeCa Ball, which is one of my favorite events and it just so happens to take place on my new favorite street… Never stop exploring! -Kkb
