Stepping into Prada’s Paris flagship on Rue Saint Honoré was especially surreal this Paris Fashion Week. Outfitted for the third series of its Iconoclasts installation, the boutique was transformed into a doll house by acclaimed Italian costume designer Milena Cananero.

While only film buffs might recognize the name, there’s no question you’ve been touched by her work. Milena’s long collaboration with Stanley Kubrick led her to create costumes for A Clockwork Orange, A Space Odyssey, and Barry Lyndon, beginning a long and illustrious career designing for some of the most ambitious films. Most recently, she taken home her fourth Oscar for The Grand Budapest Hotel.

So the meeting of two creative geniuses – Miuccia and Milena – that is, can only yield incredible results. I was blown away by the beauty of this year’s installation. Take a peak at some of the outrageous and breathtaking mannequins.
