I was headed out to meetings this chilly morning in NYC (we’ve been having a lot of those recently, come to think of it) and had to pull together an outfit and get out the door in twenty minutes flat. Sticking to monochromatic hues takes most of the work out of getting dressed (and who really has the time?). I call this look “Parisian in New York” because the French are masters of classic chic while New Yorkers love their black staples. This look is all about the high-waisted leather pants from Alvin Valley that flash a scintillating amount of ankle – which if you haven’t heard, is the new cleavage as Fashion Week trends go.
Rounding out the outfit is a chiffon blouse from Rby45RPM and blue suede Isabel Marant booties, which are perfect for running around the city. The Tom Ford bag adds a little color to this grey day while keeping everything neutral.
Because it’s literally freezing today, I threw on this vintage Theory fur and was in the back of a cab headed downtown.
