OSCARS 2015 RED CARPET FAVORITES

Another Oscars has come and gone. Were you watching? I was at home with the girls on the couch in front of the TV starting with the E! red carpet pre-show. Didn’t Khloé Kardashian looked gorgeous in that red Lanvin number? Her effortless, ombré hair and plunging neckline made her look both cool and elegant – a perfect choice for her hosting duties that evening.

So while there were some great movies this year – I loved Still Alice and am thrilled Julianne took home the best actress award – I truthfully always watch the Academy Awards for the fashion. Here are my top five of the night.

Nicole Kidman looked great in this iridescent sequin Louis Vuitton dress with a red sash.jennifer-aniston-oscars-2015-academy-awards1-600x800

Jennifer Aniston stunned in Versace. This woman just doesn’t age. I love the sexiness of this dress with the silhouette of her legs peeking through the sheer beaded skirt. The minimal jewelry and trademark Jen hair kept it young and cool.julianne-moore-oscars-2015-academy-awards-600x800

It was the performance everyone was taking about, but Julianne’s dress was also a standout that evening. Her gown was classic Chanel with a 20’s silhouette that harkened back to the golden days of cinema.

How cool is Laura Dern’s gown? This gunmetal Alberta Feretti dress was remarkable for its classic silhouette combined with totally unexpected texture. Seriously, what is that thing made out? Alien skin? Also major points for the cool side bang.

Jennifer Lopez looked like a princess in her voluminous Elie Saab gown. The pink lip and gorgeous ponytail were a perfect compliment to the nude tone.
