Met Gala Glam: What started as a relatively small, insular New York Charity Gala has transformed into an the International Party of the year attended by superstars and power players galore. This is a testament to the vision and power of Vogue Editrix Anna Wintour who has tirelessly campaigned and dedicated much of her time to the preservation of one of the world’s premiere institutions, The Met. Statuesquely planted on 5th Avenue in NYC, The Met houses the great collections from antiquity to modern masters. Within the museum, is The Costume Institute, which showcases the best in clothing as what they truly are, works of art. While the glitz and glamour of the Met Gala is beyond fab, the light being shed on the museum is what is truly awe-inspiring. I mean where else can you rub elbows with J.Lo (ahem, J.Rod), Kendall Jenner, and Blake Lively, with old masters creating a back drop? Giving back is the ultimate in glamour.
