If you really want to look at how to dress this season, just check out the models. Not the glammed-up dolls parading down the runway, but how the girls dress when they’re off the clock, when they’re actually choosing what they wear. Models have always been muses for designers precisely because they’ve got the stylish je ne sais quoi that defines fashion. They mix designer freebies they get from the walking the shows with fast fashion splurges they pick up on their globe-trotting travels for a perfect blend of high and low.
The model off duty look is defined by comfortable, effortless chic. It looks like they didn’t spend a lot of time getting ready because they didn’t. They rolled out of bed after a few hours of sleep, peeled off whatever party dress they passed out in last night, then quickly throw on what’s clean and run out the door for the first casting/fitting/show of the day.
