In the Spirit of America: I’m celebrating my daughters trip to study pre-law abroad. Congrats Ted! My mid-western family typically celebrated in the holiday in Rockford, IL and in East Hampton, NY. I wrote In the Spirit of the Hamptons to celebrate how amazing and diverse Americans are. And I wrote American Style for the Costume Institute at the Metropolitan Museum of Art to celebrate who we are as Americans: where we have come from, who we are, and where we are headed. Whether you are with family or friends on this patriotic day, celebrate the ability to be a free thinker and how much possibility you REALLY have. Its our country, be proud. Really proud.
